Learning Reading:
- Make a treasure hunt with clues like "a place where you eat" and they read the word "eat" and figure out from there to go to the kitchen. Other easy words would be "under a mat" or "inside the car". Or you could even just write the word "mat", "tub", "car", or "toy". And then at the end perhaps find a "treat". For harder reading, have them read the entire clue or make the clues more specific to their reading level.
- Have them read a flashcard. When they read the word let them try to throw a bean bag into a bucket. Get three bean bags in, and get a special prize.
- When they get older, have words on flashcards where they can make sentences or you make sentences and silly stories.
